Home built brackets all open track except the switches/turnout have door skin cut to fit under the switch
No shelves, plywood or boards
I’m not running/using guard rails as I don’t run my G scale trains like Lionel trains
I have Lionel track on the floor for running my Lionel trains.
Brackets stained with vinegar with steel wool in the vinegar
It took me four application of the vinegar mix to get the weathered gray look I wanted
R2 curves and switches all LGB track
Brackets screwed/mounted in to studs with 2 1/2 screws on 24” centers.
Bridges are five foot long over stairway and in front of window
I built the bridges in adult metal/welding shop class at our local high school
We had seen the bridges in a Hobby Shop in Denver at s cost of over $200.00 each for four foot bridges
I built four bridges for $20.00 plus learning how to weld.
Two four footers and two five footers
The bridges are built out of 1/2 sq tube.
Rattle can paint gray silver hammer tone with a little flat black
