It is clearly a very different design, and better than my as these are not polarised, but mine are. however since I have printer and can draw - and also enjoy doing so - why to purchase? also I don't think it is a copyright violation by any means - ones who can argue are probably LGB (Marklin) themselves. Also I do not plan to sell these - instead when I get to a final version I am satisfied with - I will upload it to github so fellow modellers can reuse design FOC.Erm, I’m a bit confused…easy I know, but these have been made and sold by Porterhouse Models for many years, well my line, the CFM have been using them, very satisfactorily for over three years now. You can find them on eBay.
They do a varied range including buffer beam mounted ones. The ones I use are so simple to fit using existing mountings on LGB/Bachmann locos and others. It takes less than a minute to fit and they will allow trains of around 4-5 coaches to be pulled with ease, even in reverse on sharp curves.
No connection, only a very satisfied customer.View attachment 355136

I think you misunderstand. I’m not saying, and haven’t said they are better, I’ve said these polarised couplings have been around for many years. There is no copyright violation, I never said there was one. If you’ve got a printer and enjoy making them yourself, brilliant! If you’ve going to finalise a design and post it so others can use FOC even better and even more brilliant. I don’t have a printer, I know of a superb place I can get them printed, but I’m very satisfied with Porterhouse Models version. They’re reasonably priced, work extremely well and I’m afraid I have far better things to do than have a printer running for hours to make my own.It is clearly a very different design, and better than my as these are not polarised, but mine are. however since I have printer and can draw - and also enjoy doing so - why to purchase? also I don't think it is a copyright violation by any means - ones who can argue are probably LGB (Marklin) themselves. I never implied that's a brand new idea, magnetic couplers were around for decades already in all scales. But since 3D printing technology became more affordable there are ways to refine existing ideas. And making instead of ordering also attractive for some people, like myself.I think you misunderstand. I just got the impression from posts on here that certain members might have thought this was a brand new idea. I hope you get a final good design, and that those who want to make their can do so.
Cheers
