I've bought a kit from Timpdon models and it doesn't contain any couplings. I'm using 3 link chain couplings, what do people use for hooks? Are there some ready made or do you make them out of thin metal rods? Or are there other options?

Thanks

Andrew

Well you can buy three link Couplings that include the hook etc for gauge 3 models from GRS and Walsall models

What sort of buffer have is it got? If its centre buffered there's usually a hook on the buffer it's self

Rhino beat me to it, easily bent from some wire and fitted to a suitable sized hole in the coupling. If you use conventional couplings like Flying15 mentioned you would need a 2 buffer set each end for this and any loco pulling it unless the Timpden item is a loco. Picture may help.
