Not knowing the context:
There are two 'contact strips' associated with lgb..
1. Is a ramp (treadle) which is used to activate sounds on the very old models, with plunger switches underneath.

2. The second is a glorified 'choc-block' connecting strip. - LGB 50720 will get you images.
