Clear plastic sheet for glazing windows...

tramcar trev

all manner of mechanical apparatus...
I was thinking of buying some perspex (for windows) and then in front of me I saw a plastic CD cover.... Viola! they are cheaper than perspex if I even had to buy new ones.... Cuts nicely with the Olfa plastics cutter...... if it was for exterior use I'm not sure that it would last but for exterior glazing I would use glass, you can buy very thin glass quite cheaply at the $2 shops with a frame around it (your sposed to put pictures in them) and also a glass cutter, probably be found in the "Tools" section....

I'm sure it would last outside - I got the idea from Peter Bunce (who uses it for his buildings) - and have used it on various projects. The wife was putting her CD's into wallets so I nicked a few cases:rolf:

Dabnabbit ! I've been cutting mine on the bandsaw, and I've got an Olfa cutter somewhere....like you say, the clues in the name...Plastics Cutter :wits:
I like CD cases as you can fix the windows quite firmly so no-one (me actually) can poke the windows out when they pick the model up.
