Claptowte Railway - First Aid Training

The management of the Claptowte Railway have initiated a training scheme whereby certain key personnel, with the emphasis on train guards, have received the necessary training to be certificated first aiders. The outcome is that all guards on Claptowte Railway are now fully trained. To that end all guard's vehicles on the line, that is all goods brake vans, all passenger brake coaches and the Engineering Department converted brake coach, have all been equipped with first aid boxes.

The first aid signs were created by downloading a free sign from t'internet, shrinking it to a suitable size, duplicating it in numbers by cut and paste, then printing on white card.

As well as guard's vans, first aid boxes have also been installed in the Booking Office, Goods Office and Signal Box at Gernise End Station. All of these measures do not make travelling on the Claptowte Railway any safer, but you can be confident, that in the event of an accident, someone will be available to patch things up. Of course, although the first aid training has been exemplary, the first aiders cannot re-attach severed limbs, you will still have to go to the local hospital for that. At least there should be somebody present with the common sense to pack the limb in ice and send it off with the rest of you, otherwise you could be stumped. It would be as well to note that the Claptowte Railway is set in a loose time period before the invention of the battery powered portable defibrillator, so it would be as well not to have a 'clutcher' while travelling on the line.
