Capito is an easy conversion like you say. In fact most GE 44 111 s are easy. The difficult bit is the older GE 44 11s. I would also advise not using two LGB chips but go for a MTS3 or other 3 amp chip (my preference would be Massoth XLS) and split the load. I had this recently with my Crock one bogie running faster than thhe other which caused problems hauling trains. MTS 3 solved the problem Also don't use the LGB drawings as gospel. Some do not match the model

Using the Zimo 695 might be the best option, really, if you are replacing the electronics - probably advisable anyway rather than relying on old electronics. You can connect the servos directly to the Zimo without the need for an external 5V regulator.

I was under the impression that LGB Ge 4/4 III panto movement was made by motors, not servos. Ref. the link I put in a few posts up.
