I visited the Railway last Sunday and travelled from Oswestry to Weston Wharf and back in a DMU, see photos below. Although it only takes about 10 minutes to traverse in each direction it was interesting to see how much work had been done in getting the train to run. Unfortunately the museum at Oswestry was closed, nevertheless much historical information was available at Oswestry Station and at Weston Wharf. I understand that the local council has purchased the Station at Oswestry and work was being carried out there when I visited. Catering facilities at both Oswestry and Weston Wharf were very good. In the case of the latter there was even a microbrewery adjacent to the station!!
