Probably...

A picture(s) of the lamp would help..
But you will find someone will have made most dummy lamps into working versions, at some point..

What colours are yo offering?
As to the question about fitting lights, LEDs fit ok. I have not fitted it to the caboose yet, got sidetracked by decoders, however I think it will be in black PETG, not orange PLA. Orange is so last month.
The dimensions are pretty close to the Piko lamp.:shake:

Look's like a 3mm LED would fit quite nicely?

Warm-white would probably be more in keeping than a bright white.
Red, if it is acting as a tail-light.
Or even a red / Warm-white bi-colour LED, if you want to be flash?

It looks pretty good, and as Greg said an SMD LED will illuminate it easily. So what can we use for the coloured lenses?

Actually, I was recommending 3 SMD leds on a square base, so you have one facing outwards in each of the 3 lenses. So 3 beams of the colors you choose simulating the directed light of the prototype.

when you put a normal led in there, the light is pointed skyward, and the dispersion to the sides is minimal. (and of course all the same color.
