Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Aha - having recently seen this line, golden spike an' all, you have to admire the beauty of flexitrack when looking at reverse curves.

I've had to make do with inserting a straight between each change of direction on mine, but a little bit of transition in the curve is a beautiful thing to see :bigsmile::bigsmile::bigsmile::bigsmile:

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

It's an express, non stop, Broome to misty mountain trans-continental or that's Callum's excuse anyway.

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Awaiting work to dirty the motion and generally de-spruce, the BL&Es latest loco....

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Gawd just looking at it, I hate that tender !

Now I think this looks a whole heap better ! Anyone got a Consolidation tender they don't want ?

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Having had a butcher's at the loco/tender interface, looks like I'm stuck with the original otherwise the crew wouldn't be able to operate the loco - ie the tender needs a platform to operate from.

So here she is all tarted down, close coupled (as much as can be) and ready to go....

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Who'd have thought it possible - a runnette at the end of November

And a new switcher for the proposed dock area (next year). Arrived yesterday, and fully functional - apart from a lack of Kadees, soon to be rectified :

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Ahhhh the winter hibernation draws to an end - yippeeeeee.

And with it, a Dudley bearing gifts.

He has built a couple of excellent signal cabins for the Broome Lake & Eastern, the first of which was placed in situ yesterday.
