Best I don't Paul - I have three already but SWMBO thinks I've got (and has only ever seen) one, but not necessarily the same one every time!

So is it good value or not, I have no idea,
I know they are getting scarce Jon, but that's a bit steep. I paid a little more than that for my three. Penylanpip got one not long ago for a fair price - less than half that I believe.

Yes, well over twice the price I paid for the one you kindly let me have, Mike, :giggle: although my 1k tag didn't include sound.
Fortunately, I am not tempted to double-head!

Oh, go on. You know you want to. Would look really impressive on your huge bridge.

Smiles. The test I always apply is:

1. Do I need it?
2. Do I want it?

If the answer is YES to at least one of the questions, then I buy it.......... :)

Just received an offer from the seller as this item is on my watch list. €150 off, so I can have it for €2350. If he'd taken €1500 off I might have considered it (could double-head twice then).

How generous! I think (read, sincerely hope) that he is in for a big disappointment at that money.

I also see that an 'matching' Orient Express saloon has appeared on our eBay with a starting price of what I would consider a good finishing price and a ludicrous BIN.

If both of these items had sensible price tags attached, I would have snatched them up - purely to niggle ebay mike... >:)

I don't think it would have niggled me Phillip. I had my jiggle of the month on Tuesday evening and still haven't got over it. Had been watching something on eBay for a while (a replacement for something from my youth) which was due to end at 20:39. Had done my research, spoken to the seller about arranging transportation and decided on my absolute maximum bid. Took me a few days to garner approval from SWMBO, but as she'd just parted with the best part of £7k for a car her argument didn't really hold water. 4 seconds to go so I slapped in my offer at several hundred above the current price. One second before the close another bidder stepped in and the desired object went for £100 more than my maximum. Of course his maximum bid might have been significantly higher but I will never know now. Nothing similar available (eBay or elsewhere) ATM so I will have to wait. I have, however, decided to double my budget next time. Haven't told the boss yet though. All she could say was 'i expect you're bit disappointed'. I told her exactly what I was, which wasn't a good move. I just keep thinking what if? what if? - doesn't really help, but I suppose I'll get over it EVENTUALLY.
