This is the front end extended

2-6-2 with extended front end looks spot on. Looking forward to seeing it complete.

That 2-8-0 didn't half look good too though.

I must say I think I'm with John (Sea Lion) on this; just a tad less extension. Russell looks different because it has no bunker, I think.

It also looks like the cut-down version of Russel.

This sort of length do you think? (Forgive the crude edit - no photoshop in the office)

Next step will be to work up the courage to cut the main sideframes for clearance for the front and rear trucks

I am planning to move the front truck a little further forward when the frames have been altered

Looking good Sir! With the pony wheel a smidge further forwards that'll be spot on.

Agreed - just slightly forward Mike would look more balanced (if you can of course move it)

Yeah the intention is to move the pony wheels up about a quarter to half an inch, the front plate of the frames prevents this at the moment, but it will be done after some alteration to the plate.
I'm just trying out some ideas for frame spacers that I can hang the trucks off now... watch this space!

Well after a couple of weeks tweaking things, "Finn" finally passed out fit for passenger traffic . Seen here with the two ex Manx Northern Hurst/Nelson coaches.
That conludes this topic I guess Thanks for taking an interest.
