I seem to remember as a kid having a few BlawKnox dinkey dozers of a really odd scale that look about your scale??
that yellow looks right and serious,,
Many thanks for your kind comments Pete
I happen to have one of those old dinkey dozers in the loft but not in very good condition was well played with when i was a kid .

hey up richie...i have my bulldozer and roller and aslo digger!! lol.
the bulldozer is from ebay..the rest from the chairty shop..will post some picture ok...
You always do well at your local charity shops never find any here . Be good to see some pics

Now Richie ....just get that dry brush out and give that cat a real dirtying!. I manged to get a yellow 1:24 dozer some time back and realised that it was not 'right' being clean. A lttle dirt, a bit of rust especially on the caterpillar tracks, some soot from the exhaust and she just looked fine.
Saying that, I still haven't plucked up courage to weather the red International jobbie you saw when you came down.....

Cheers Mike
I could always play with the dozer in the mud and have natural weathering

A visit to a local club on a night showing 'mud wrestling' could also be utilised. Just ask the ladies to play with your 'dozer' :rolf::rolf:

Finished painting the dozer last night looks like it's just come out the factory , Seems a shame to weather it as it does look nice . Should i weather it or leave it as it is  What does every one else think i already know Mels answer

Well it could be a brand new one being delivered of course Rich, but even so, it would have to have been driven onto the wagon? So you could just do some dry brushing over the tracks to simulate their "delivery mileage"?

I won a tractor on ebay last night which will be the load for my new standard gauge flat wagon. Believe it or not, I'm not planning to give it a drastic weathering as it will be being delivered brand new as above.

Quote ""be being delivered brand new""
that could narrow down the time period of your railway to the year that digger was manufactured.
or
or you could have an advert board on it,
with wording similar to
'restored to original condition by " Heritage Plant Restorations Inc." '
or somesuch

u need weatherin it as it look like it been working on the land? if i were u i wud go for weathering.;)
if use it without weatherin it will look like brite yellow from factory..lol
so try weatherin to see if u r happy.. best way is
1st....picture of without weathering
2nd picture of weathering
to make members will votes it.by the way ave u ever thought abt chains wrap it over to stop the bulldozer come off;) cheers:thumbup:

Having got one of these fine dozers from you Rossy I can agree that it fits but you try and pull it up my incline in a consist of cars and just watch my locos puff their cheeks out!
I still have not got around to weathering this little beauty...it would seem such a shame

Cheers every one so it looks as if i'm going to weather it as it's a hard working dozer so lots of mud and grime me thinks
Have put some hooks on the flat bed Steven so that i can chain the dozer down when finished .
That dozer of yours Ross looks a very nice model Mike showed me the one he has very heavy but very well detailed

hwdy richie... thought u mite see this one before if im not sure? it will suit u on yr layout...

Just finished weathering the Dozer today don't have a air brush like Mel so used a mix of paints on a sponge seems to have worked well followed with some weathering powders for rust . Have also added a bit of undergrowth to areas which might get caught up with in the woods and on the deck of the flat car
Just need to find some chain to hold the dozer in place job done
