The weight of the cells in the Garratt would be a boon to traction, but as a dead weight load, I feel you may have a problem.

Lets hope your bogies are more free running with that sort of load weight than LGB ones!!

So this evening I fitted the free running Aristocraft freight bogies.
in this pic you can also see the bogie mounting,
this end does not allow any lateral lean
but allows a lot of yaw?
Achieved by mounting the bolt through a piece of half dowel (3/4"? diam) protected by a shaped bit of tinplate to minimise wear

Other end, to acheive three point suspension, the mounting bolt goes through a wooden bead,
the sort they make car massage seat covers with, with one end sanded flat & glued to floor

To make the transverse bogie rocker bar
take some tinplate,
an old can will do,
I actually had some new tinplate stock ready flattened

The gap by the well floor is for ventilation of the battery while charging ,
as it will be concealed by a load
The gap at end is where a hopper type floor will start from.
It may change design as time progresses
