I am looking for a Bachmann Spectrum 2-6-0 or 4-4-0 steam dome, ideally most of it or the top, willing to pay.

It is for a 2-8-0 I am building, I will post photos when it gets finished

Thanks,
Alec

i will pm him.....

Hi Alec,

I have the Ozark catlog - the only domes listed are resin 1/29 scale, Baldwin round top versions - no dome rings and curvaceous tops to them -

Yours peter.

The nearest i can come up with is this... its not a Spectrum just a big hauler i can do something with the dome or sell the whole thing i was keeping it as a project it runs

Thanks again,
Ross, I have looked at Ozark and Trackside Details, but as Peter says they will be too small for this application.

Mike, I have a Accucraft C-16 1:20.3 sand dome kindly donated and it is great for this purpose, however they are too expensive for me to buy the steam dome at $66!

Tony, Unfortunately those rounded domes are too modern for this loco-thanks for the offer.

However the 'old time' 4-6-0 versions could work as they have fluted domes e.g D&RGW.

Thanks,
Alec

Hi Tony, how much for the whole thing ? It would be as a spares nag for me.

I suggest get some tube of the required diameter and then go and find yourself some assorted coat buttons and stick them on top of the cylinder in decreasing sizes. A little bit of fillere and you are done.

Hi Tony
do you happen to have a good spare silver smokebox and stack going as well?

Alec, fill out the form on the Bachmann Site requesting what you are after. http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/serviceform.php < Link To http://www.bachmanntrains...me-usa/serviceform.php They have more spares than what are listed on the spare parts website :)

Getting my topic back to domes, a not a 4-6-0 parts thread...
Rod and Daniel thanks for your replies, I will try modifying an LGB mogul dome on a lathe and see If I can get that to work. If that does not work I will try contacting Bachmann directly.

Thanks,
Alec

Alec, are either (or both) of these any good - off a Spectfrum 2-6-0, although I'm afraid I used the top (valves) from the larger dome .
