Bachmann "Lyn" PCB and sound.

I'm investigating my "Lyn" (new version) prior to converting to radio control. (previous help acknowledged).
On the board, there are two connections to a switch on the front axle, obviously intended for synchronised puffing, and two to a speaker in the bunker. Is this loco supposed to have sound built in, or is an extra device needed? Mine has never made any sound.
if the former, what might be wrong? If the latter, what would I need to make it puff?
Also, is it possible to buy the tiny plug-in connectors used to connect the motor and track pick-ups to the card?

There is a 'chuff' sensor, and speaker fitted, but sound is down to you..
As for the plugs/sockets... Just going upstairs to check. :)

MyLocoSound has some How to Install guides on their home page that could give you a general idea of the wiring required for their product. May also help you decide on a remote control system, if you are still looking into that.

The MyLocoSound steam soundcard can be used with the loco in its original, track powered mode or after conversion to battery powered radio control mode. Either way, the chuff switch is connected to the soundcard F7 and B- terminals and the speaker to the S1 and S2 terminals. However, the remaining connections are different depending on the mode used. The connections for a generic trackpower are at Trackpower install and the radio control at Radio control install. There is also a wiring diagram for standard Bachmann locos at Bachmann install but I am not sure that this applies to the current Lyn. We have a Lyn here but it is about eight years old.

If you install our soundcard in trackpower mode first and then upgrade to radio control later you do not have to get a new soundcard; they work for both modes and just need reconnecting.
