Too much of a good thing is nearly enough.

Yes, I know they are toys and I did have some but repainted them!
Despite my better judgement I now have the G scale Emily and am de-Thomasing it. So if anyone has one or two....or four...second hand Emily coaches I would be very pleased to have them for around £30 each. Original boxes not needed.
Thanks
Syd

I have just noticed these are more expensive new than I thought, so will happily pay £40 each for them.
If not, Emily will have to pull the Blood and Custard versions!

The're up on the ever popular auction site at a steaming £65!

I managed to buy one the other day for £40. I've had to treat my wallet for post traumatic stress!

I bought some for £25 each some time ago Mick, but as i never expected to have an Emily they were repainted!

The Emily coaches are essentially the same body moulding as the Thomas Annie and Clarabel, so if you are going to de Thomas Emily, you could repaint Thomas coaches which are often available secondhand a little cheaper
Victorian trains were often a bit of a ragbag collection of vehicles 4/6 wheeled arc or clerestory roofed etc

There is a big difference from Annie and Clarabel, which are only short four wheelers and both have moulded faces on one end and of course are brown. I am after the original green 6 wheel Emily stock that matches the engine, which will only need minor weathering to look good. The 'de-thomasing' of the locomotive is mainly to remove the face and minor repainting. If none are available she will become a freight engine.

Of course not! That was rather 'tongue-in-cheek' Paradise.
She has now been completed and has been hauling the Blood and Custard coaches until I locate some non-extortionate second hand ones in the correct green.

I like the blood and custard ones you painted but I guess they are not Emily's coaches.
I had 4 but recently sold 2 because Emily only had 2 anyway. Nice coaches but not quite right for my preferred narrow gauge collection. They do tend to be on the pricey side now that many things are drying up.

Yes, the 'Blood and Custard' coaches are the Thomas Emily Coaches repainted, and fitted with interiors too. I will be happy with a pair in green but looks like I will be having a wait for them.

John Sutton books and models is showing 2 Emily coaches ,saloon and brake in stock but they are £50 each.

John

Thanks John, I contacted them at once, but they had been sold Sunday.

Hattons have eight in stock ............................................ at £64 each!

Yes, I had found them and they can keep them. John Sutton's £50 ones included postage but was at the limit of my wallet.

Some great videos there. What a graceful engine, all seems very calm and sedate rather than the dashing around of the smaller wheeled locos. Mind you, the '38 video is not for health and safety conscious! If you get to within 6foot of the platform end now without getting shot, you're doing well!

Thanks Dan, however these have the flange-less centre wheels missing, so I will give them a miss.
