The concensus appears to be cabooses.

Has the caboose been cabashed? 8|

No, it's either Cabbeesh, Cabice, or as collective noun a retardation of brake vans

Hello all: I haven't yet uploaded pictures of my Bachmann coach conversion as I read this thread.
Not to be overdone, please, look some pictures of my ongoing "caboose to furgón de cola" kitbash.
All kind of comments kindly accepted.

Mel your new brake van is a cracker. Amazing what can be done with some ingenuity (and more than a bit of skill).

thanks Mel.
as it is flat, i will try the weighting aproach.

Yeah thats all I did, about a little weight above each wheelset and mine does not jump off the rails either. hope that works for you. Oh and metal wheels too.

Hello all: continuing with my (poor) efforts, cabooses (or furgones de cola, as called here) were painted, assembled and tested.
First picture show one caboose along a modified USA Trains outsided braced boxcar. I beleive it stand very high, in fact higher than boxcar.
So I cut an slice on both sides of chassis (second picture)
Now you could compare low and high furgones to boxcar, not only more eye pleasing but also more stable tracking.
