This sounds quite interesting but the blurb tells very little to the unitiated. Any experience on how this may work please?

looking at the components, you see a full wave bridge, filter caps, integrated circuit, filter cap and inductors

dc to dc inverter with fw bridge on input to accept ac input.

Interesting, but a shame it only has a 5A rating.
As an aside I've often wondered about the older (not "Revolution") Train Engineer. I seem to recall reading that fitting a fan was recommended for output over 5A or 3.5A on linear. Also the max. output was then 10A. From this I assumed that the max. linear output would be 7A

They claimed 15 on the PWM and 10 on the linear, with fan cooling.

Many people seem to confirm this rating.

The new 2.4 GHz units are rated at 10 I believe.
