Hi All, Have just converted a MK 2 Baguley to battery power and finding its running a bit slower than I would like. From what I can see Accucraft went from a 12V motor on the Mk1 to a 24V one on the updated model. I am using locoremote to control it which has a 12 V max working. .As it is the loco does not even start moving until it hits 6 volts, there is no binding and it’s all running smooth, just very slow. Just wondered what you guys have found out during your conversions. One solution could be to fit a 12v motor, such as an MFA combo etc, has anyone done this?

Thanks

Ask Locoremote for a 'beefier' motor-shield?
OR
Does Locoremote have a servo output? - If so, you can use an external ESC (speed controller).

If you fit a different motor: Use a universal joint (rather than the 'bit of rubber' used with the original motor)! :nerd:
