being a mature and well balanced professional
this weekend i went into my local train shop
to purchase a tiny washer for the reapir on my frank s
i didnt find the correct washer, but
found items on consignment, for a very low price -very very low-and highly unusual for this shop
someone must have passed away
they are all unrun, boxes, two with insturctions, one without
(and i did pass on the unrun live steam frank s-even at 65% of what i paid as well as an OBB wizzy crank pair)
you may notice a penchant for somehwat unconventional railroad colours
here are the humiliations, a secret from SWMBO
i love yellow, and ive come to really love the trolleys -had to sticker them up and i may even add the turn signals and little orange leds if i can bring myself to drill

odd thing is i dont have any rat bahn stuff,
but ive always loved this loco and its 2/4 movement
and...its bloody huge compared with other locos-looks really wide and a bit tall
but its got cool lights!!!!
a bit light wehn it comes to pulling power
anyone know what that 2 on the end is about??

have always loved this grey version with its bunker and low cab-looks so much better than the high cab imho, but this is the first one in grey which i had seen with the lensed headlights!!(dont care for the bare yellow bulb look at all) -and it smoked profusely too-until the unit burned out-probably shock from seeing the sun for the first time in 23 years!! (actually probably running too hot as the white wire showed a bit of brwon at the tube connection area)
so i went in for a fifty cent purchase
and spent a good deal more than i had anticipated-but havent regretted it one jot-all of these were less than one more elaborate LGB engine-and i passed on a few that i might have liked -but decided i didnt want to over-do
doing my part to strengthen the world economy
