Thanks gents.

Tonight one of my first purchases 10 years ago was this Stainz named "Charlotte".
I fitted a new 24 volt smoke unit to her as the 5 volt one had gradually stopped functioning.

Running a simple loco such as this is just as satisfying as a sophisticated £2.5k metal jobby for me. The Stainz loco was the hook which got me into g scale

That last picture is brilliant Paul. With no lamp shining, the evening colours are great.

Reversing loop module fitted (bargain from Germeny at £33.00).
Trains roll. Cameo next to the water crane too.

It was a second hand LGB 55080 Alan - used on an indoor layout - looked like new.

Are the olive green coaches in post #84 a 'standard' LGB item? - They suit a Garden Layout very well.

They are Phil - ÖBB 4 wheelers.
I have added detail transfers - destination plates and no smoking signs to mine

Erm no Alan. The catalogue number is 38078 !

The ones in your post are DR with a different roof profile.

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Said DR coaches now have destination plates over the DR emblem and the Black Frank S lok has been ÖBB badged.
Had to run some trains beings as there was a letter y in the Day of the week.

This video of Frank S was enjoyable to set up. The flat wagon with the camera on was being pushed by another loco on the parallel passing loop

Ballasting is needed through Wieselburg station but in the meantime trains need to be run. A bit more challenging now the nights are drawing in and there are lots of leaves all over the garden.

Never thought I'd like a blue diesel but this one has really grown on me.

I had to run a few other trains too didn't I ?
