Today Wolfgang, Klaus and Dieter arrived at the CFR to begin a detailed survey of the site for the "Improbability Mine". If all goes well work will start shortly.

Hadn't realised that 7/8th was so big - those figures and the G scale track really bring it home.

Wolfgang has been loaned an old locomotive to test out the track and clearences. Here he his with Dieter and Karl carrying out acceptence trials. Dieter insists on driving even though Karl considers himself more qualified because he is the "Motive Power Superintendant".

Actual testing took place on the CFR track one. The locomotive ran for about 2 hours with frequent stops for gas and water top ups. The locomotive actually belongs to my good friend Mr Neil Robinson. I am borrowing it until I can purchase one of my own.
