So, turns out my 1st cousin (once removed) has trains..
Bassett Lowke vintage, which requires 3-rail track..
He bought some Lionel track, put it down in the garden, and it has fallen apart. - Apparently, the chairs have failed?

Any recommendations for 3-rail track, that will withstand the British climate?

ACE Trains use three rail track I'm sure:

they don't show any on their website but may be able to help. I'm a member of the HRCA (Hornby Railway Collectors' Asscn) and one of their members or parts suppliers may do three rail track. I'll check if you wish.

Thank you, it would be appreciated..

I have been asked to help. Even to the extent of going battery, if necessary..
I am a little loathe (sp?) to modify heritage models to any great extent.

Michael Foster track. Sorry,no links or other details.

Nickel silver rails with plastic ( uv resistant? ) sleepers which slide onto the rails, close for scale effect, or spaced for toy train image.. No pointwork though.

You omitted the words 'virtually priceless' heritage models.

I was recently asked to help the widow of an old school chum , who sadly died last year. He had built a gauge 1 railway in his garden using Basset Lowke engines and some he had built . He had used 10mill track with brass screws wired together, in the centre for the pick up with the two outer rails as the return. I’m glad to say that with a big soldering iron and some wire, I was able to get it running again.
