Very nice job, but if it were me I would make the planks wider. The narrow planking as per the original retains the look of a standard gauge car. IMO only.

It is unusual Steve but as I was doing my "research" I came across a couple of examples, links below.
I built these for my "imaginary" railroad, the L&I (Named after my kids, hence the name 'Leahville & Iansburg)...As the line is run by a bunch of clowns they are infamous for not always following industry standards.
The first link's not working but the last one was one of the Hawaii boxcars I was thinking of, I like the corrugated steel roof it has too has a change to the usual zinc sheets.
Sorry Steve, don't know why that link did not work for you. Try this one, or search for "East Broad Top 181". There was also one other OB boxcar for the Carson Nevada RR but I am not aware of any existing photo's.
