I might have a spare copy. Drop me a PM and I'll have a hunt around.Evening all.
Does anyone have a copy of the above that they no longer need, as it appears to be unobtainable through the usual channels.
I will happily pay a reasonable amount for it.
Best wishes,
Trevor
I have a spare copy I do not require. Send me your address & I can put it in the post.
I warn you it is a very dangerous book. I have had 3 locos for repair from an owner if the book after "servicing" them.
The same way that people buy £3000 squid on a live steam locomotive and will not invest a thirtieth of that to get a regular supply of the correct water.No. Wheels out of quarter, bad electrical contacts, etc
How can anyone spend £20 on a book & be to tight to spend £5 on a cheap test meter
Though I agree with the principle, if you never maintain your car e.g. change the engine oil and filter, replace the brake pads/shoes this they broke you would be in real trouble. A firm believer in preventative maintenance, but not maintenance for maintenance sake.Just remember the first rule of maintenance
If it ain't broke, don't mend it!

Agreed, which is why this:Don't mend, examine..
Only affect a repair if it is necessary. - So worn skates/brushes, cracked traction tyres, clean and minimal lubrication.
If you are cleaning lots of crud and grease, then the item has been over-lubricated..

If you are a member of the FB group 'Garden Railway Trading', Andy Spencer a copy for sale for £12. He only put it on yesterday, so probably still available.I was looking for this book a while ago. If anyone has one for sale but struggled to find any for sale - I'd certainly be interested if anyone want to sell it.
