hi..i know it sound silly but i ask u a questions...will my battery from recharge drill tht it got 12volts harm my motor:impatient:?
coz i did ran my steam locos for half hour using my 12 volts battery from my drill. no problem..no heat on motor..so i know i ave no speed controller on it just toggles switch for on and off to stop my steam if i want.....
does anyone ave experince? so it tht correct tht my battery ni cad same as burglar alarm battery? mmmm :impatient:

Just dont put it on hammer mode

Should be fine. Its pure 12V DC - no problems.

hi stockers... tht why i did test my nic cad recharge battery on motor to see if ran well..it go smooth!! so im happy with it.i ave 3 spare same battery ! simple.

You could put a fuse in the circuit to protect from a short though. A low amp car fuse should do.

Unless you have steep gradients which mean the motor is under heavy load
Single motor loco - 1 amp
Two motor loco - 2 amp
