Where Oh Where Shall I Go Next.....itinerary Of A Boxcar

you´re right...and...ahemmmmm....i think the pics should be in the other thread....sh...&:

perhaps a friendly moderator can send the post to the other thread..... 8| sorry... &o

btw:
it COULD be interesting to take a look at what we do to help economy.
Robin travelled around half the world, now he makes another half.
It will make 42,oo Euros to NewSealand.
Looking on the number of names and plates round robin is carrying now, it seems that he will top his price with shipping costs ten or twenty times!

Greetings

Frank

Looks like it's on it's way to NZ - yippee

If it's coming to this part of the world we should probably set up a dist pattern - I'll certainly take it John after you if nobody else does. OTH, if we set up a dist list it might be better for me to take in last, have it wend its way westward, so to speak, before departing for other shores.

Steve

Good idea, I'll put out a call once it's here to see how many of the lurking GSC Kiwis want to join in before it heads across the ditch. A co-ordinated ANZAC approach

It arrive this afternoon Frank, safe and sound. Did seem to take a while but that's not unusual for mail out of Europe to NZ.

SO
Attention all Kiwi GSC members please PM me or phone (my number is in the NZ Garden Whistle) and I'll co-ordinate a schedule then at the end of it's Kiwi OE I'll sort dispatching to Aussie.

Hi John,

The Auckland boys will give it a run here when it is done in sunny Wellington. :):)

Henrik

Thanks Henrik, I'll co-ordinate north of the Bombay's via you. I'll send out an email via the various groups as there must be a quite a few forum members within the NZ groups.

puh.....ok...fine it made its way safe!
So, finally, it has done its way to the next station.
Sorry once more for holding it for so long.

Greetings
Frank

Hi John,

Henrik

Hi Paul,

I dont think the boxcar will be returning to the UK.

Just a quick update to say the boxcar is now doing the rounds of the South Island of NZ under the guidance of Don Ellis. It will return to the H&MGR for one last hora before heading across the ditch to Aussie.

So - who would like to be the receiver in Australia?

17 May 2014. Just been photographed on the Culcreuch Fold Garden Railway in Rangiora.  Tomorrow it will be on The Kippenberger Line in Rangiora before retrning to the Noth Island

John, while it would probably be best if it started on the East Coast and worked its way through my part of the world on the way west, if nobody else stands up I will. If you get to the point of wanting it on its way with no other volunteers, PM me.

Thanks Steve, the boxcar is due back in Tawa during the first weekend of June - So - calling all Aussie GSC'ers - who's up for being the first (if not Steve) :)

Calling all Aussie GSC'ers :D The Boxcar has now completed it's NZ sojourn and is ready to take the trip across the ditch. I'll PM Steve to be the Aussie receiver. If you could then liaise through Steve where to from there - don't miss out, it really does feel rather special when it visits your railway :D

For having signature #2 on that car I am really astonished how many years and how far afoot it has gotten, maybe it can keep going forever. :o ;D
