Hello, and welcome to the Forum..
what you have is a motor-block, motion, and 'chassis' components from a Marklin/LGB loco..
On the small sticker, there will be a (probably) five-digit number. - That number, and a side-view of the wheels and motion, will allow us to be certain from which model of locomotive it is.
The actual model will affect the value, most likely.
The number will be L20212 as an example: This is from a 'Stainz' locomotive, your number may be different?

As Phil says, a complete Marklin/LGB loco chassis from an 0-4-0, most probably a Stainz. Would be handy for anyone scratch-building a loco body on top. Value-wise, you can find a complete Stainz for £100-£150, so maybe £50-£60 or so for the chassis....?
Just my opinion, others may disagree....

Hi - thanks for the reply. There are 2 stickers - one says marklin 13014672. The smaller white sticker says 188596 24V/DC then underneath 0213 MAHU.

Photos - LOTS of photos!
For individual big items like locos and coaches/wagons, a couple of photos of each item ideally including one underside shot.
For little bits and odd parts, just lay a bunch of them out on a plain surface and take group pics.
If any items have labels or stickers on them, particularly underneath, a note of what is on them (model numbers, stuff like that) is always handy too if they're not easily readable in the photos.

Welcome to the forum Linda, for myself always happy to delve into my sundry books to ID LGB or Marklin Trains. Price estimation can be a bit tricky as condition and will it run are tricky to nite from a picture. Some ideas can be got once you have a Catalogue number you can look at ebay, a Buy it Now price is likely to be a better clue though if you watch an item to completion of sale this can be a good clue but not always as sometimes things go for silly money because 2 idiots fight it out to the bitter end and highest price! A look at sales items in here can also be a help, over the years quite a bit has sold on here so you may come up with some ideas. Finally look at “Garden Railway Specialists“

Not a problem, Linda - I'm sure a lot of folks on here would be happy to see what there is and offer any advice; I'll leave it up to the forum moderators to chip in if they have any concerns (the forum does have some simple and sensible rules about "for sale" threads), but I'm sure we will all try to help if we can....
It is always difficult to know how to go about disposing of an inherited collection in a reasonable manner; there are a number of options, including asking a shop or other dealer to make you a bulk offer for everything (which minimises the effort on your part but will probably raise the lowest value) up to individually selling each item through eBay or other routes, such as advertising them on here (which will require the most effort, but probably realise the best price too).
If you want, you could just start by giving us a rough idea of the size of the collection - does it contain major items like locos and rolling stock (coaches and wagons), or is it mostly odd bits and pieces like the chassis in your first post? Does it include any track pieces?

Eventually i had to suggest an Auction House who were very helpful in selling both G scale and HO Gauge too.

Like everything when you wish to dispose of a collection there will be a "cost of sale". Whether it be a combination of your time managing the sale and auction site (whisper it E bay) and PayPal fees, the services of a specialist auction house, like say Vectis, or going to a dealer to sell as a job lot or on a commission basis. And yes, you could sell here with no commission costs but you would need to do your research on pricing and deal with a buyer expectation that there would be a mark down on market price as we all know that the seller is saving on the commission element here.
I would think a managed sale by a reputable auction house might be the best route if a large number of model railway related items are involved. Max

Thank you everyone for your replies. I have managed to sell most of the boxed items now. The only boxed ones I have remaining are a L & B 45mm Manning Wardle 2-6-2T locomotive kit, a Lionel 773 Hudson steam loco and an Accucraft Ragleth 0-4-0 Live stem loco 1:19 scale.
I have added photographs of the unboxed items I have.
Any help in identifying the unboxed ones would be gratefully received!!

Right, the first loco looks as if it could be a GRS kit built loco on a Piko chassis.
Next we have an LGB caboose with it's chimney and roof vent missing (there were many like that) which is a shame because it's an attractive model.
The green diesel is an Accucraft (UK) Baguley Drewery but it is the the second, and more desirable version with a metal chassis
The White loco is an LGB Stainz - ever popular.
You could try selling them on the forum here, but forum rules are that you must put a price to them.

The attached photo wouldn’t be the missing bits for the LGB caboose would they?
