What happened at your workbench today?

I was thinking more of the floor fitting to the cab - pretty spot on :worried:
Ahh, with you now!!
I shaped the floor to be a snug fit from a cardboard template, then once the front was soldered on, measured the floor height and soldered on the angle brackets which I had pre drilled, then offered up the floor and marked the holes before removing and drilling, 3 holes where spot on, one wandered off and had to be elongated, but the nut and clever photography ;)

The Claptowte Railway

The rail sides painted and platform walls installed on Baseboard No1. The platform is wider here, to accommodate the station building and other structures. There is a need to install internal walls to support the platform top, but these will have to be installed once the size and shape of the top pieces have been determined, in order to provide the appropriate support. I am awaiting delivery of some A3 3mm plasticard sheet, for the tops, which once glued in place, will be scribed to represent paving slabs. I now need to install a short length of platform walling on Board No 3, to complete the platform for Gernise End Station, which spans three baseboards.

'This is my workbench today ....... a bit of a mess. Trying to get the playmobile loc running again after a long period of stand still. I build in 8 rechargeable batteries which are dead now after the long stading still. Trying to get them loaded again. Under the loc you see my items list of all items that i stored in one of my 40 numbered drawers, that helps a lot in finding things you stored!

May I suggest you do the scribing before final fitting of the platform surface.

On my trip to Norfolk this weekend I was donated this sander, came from my friends sister who’s former partner left loads of tools and other bits. Lots went in a garage sale but this was still remaining with a good few replacement sand paper though I will need to source some of the side sand paper. I have a Lidl or Aldi version that I now need to get rid of.
