What happened at your workbench today?

Got the roof flat again by inserting a couple of vertical strengthening strips and glued and screwed them in place, for the screws I had to remove one roof tile for each, sort of Key hole surgery!!
Cut out the dormers from 3mm foamboard using the cardboard mockups as a pattern and off cuts from the main roof, I also used some 10mm and 7mm angle for the capping. The dormers are open at the moment as I don't know if they had windows or ventilation slats? Will have a think about that, I'm minded to go with slats as there was no internal uper floor, so you couldn't get at the windows to open them? 20260212_100226.jpg20260212_100300.jpg20260212_105010.jpg20260212_115316.jpg20260212_154108.jpg

Slowly getting there with the railcars conversion to RC/battery. Ceiling electrics almost ready for assembly. Top is the original LGB board, which has been removed and replaced with (lower left) a a false ceiling in the powered car to support the battery and electronics and (lower right) a simple plasticard and LED replacement for the trailer car. A few taller components such as the relay and speaker have to protrude through the ceiling, or else the roof won't fit, but they're not visible through the windows.

Much neater job than my one!

Next week I'll reveal the top side with all the components and dozens of wires squeezed in, then you can revise that comment! :D It does look nice in blue and ivory now, though.

Does MyLocoSound have it couldn't see it on their site.
I don't know if Peter will be listing them, or not.

Literally, the solder is still warm on these. The hardware design and build is UK, with licenced software from MyLocoSound.

I don't see why he wouldn't list them. But that decision is not mine to take.

PhilP.
