What happened at your workbench today?

A parcel arrived at my bench today..
One I had sent out, but the address, and sub-packaging, had been ripped-off / missing..

Luckily, it had "From:" information on both ends of the package..

Looks like it got caught in the machinery, and then bashed / crumpled by what was following it? - Time for a coffee, and further investigation.

Today I spent some of the time resurrecting a couple of items of rolling stock that had been neglected for many years:-
I also built and under coated a tool wagon and a guards van from Swift Sixteen:-

The Guards Van was converted from a retired box car. The CFR Carriage and Wagons Works staff felt sorry for the Guard (Dai)who accompanied the slate wagons up and down the quarry line in all weathers.
First coat of paint applied:-

Maybe its me, but none of this is "at your workbench" or even close to it, unless they are planning to build a graveyard, enough drift and back on subject please.

No it is not you, and yes a graveyard is a awkward subject, and a most not wanted subject......Yes there is always a BUT:
If you want to detail a small village and you are building a church and have eye for detail, you must have a grave yard....sorry....
I am planning to build my own village(original Westwoud!!!Founded in 1240) and Enkhuizen and Obdam....in the 1940....all have grave yards...my village has two yards.
One will be on the scenery because it is close to the line back then,(stoomtram Hoorn Medemblik) yes i have pictures from that time all ready obtained, and yes sorry it will be on my work bench incl church and road incl the the old lamp lighter....
It is part of life and thus a part of scenery, someone asked a question for his scenery, i simple repleyd....

If the hookers where closer to Amsterdam central station i would put them on the work bench also...IF i ever find the time OR live long enough to built Amsterdam central station from 1936 incl ash pit ect.....
I think this was pretty on topic...how to build a graveyard or something that belongs to a church, i dont mean this negative and i dont want to be insulting,just friendly help to answer a question and to make his project look real in as in real life.
No hard feeling where giving or negativity and i hope none will be received ,i wish all the best for all and very good modeling and no corona stuff ect...

About to start my next project, a yard crane for Gernise End Station on the Claptowte Railway. The kit is from Modeltown's Easy Build Kit range. The crane is, as the name implies easy to put together, in fact much of it was already assembled in the bag, I have dismantled it for the sake of the photo and to clean up various parts of the mouldings prior to assembly and painting. The challenge is going to be scratch building a plinth to mount it on to give it sufficient height to reach into trackside wagons. I'm not sure how that is going to pan out as yet.

Rain put a stop to my outside project, so I got on with the painting of the Guards Van and Tool Wagon:-

It's very difficult to read yellow print on white, especially if the room lighting is warm white

Added a Massoth reed switch to the LGB Re4/4 III that I recently chipped with a Massoth XLS. The motor block has a spot molded in it to locate the Massoth unit which makes the install a breeze. The sound project was already set up so it worked right off the bat. It sounds the horn when triggered.

Now, that's strange, I'm OK with the yeller, the dark blue's fine, the green isn't so easy to read.

But who remembers their first monitor which was black with green scipt?

My old IBM portable had orange script.
Ooh 1981... Rock festivals, pot noodle, Mad dog 20/20, the sweet sound of a throaty V8 Rover SDi and no damned smart phones..!
