Recently we sold our tumble dryer for £125, working fine. I paid £110, 5 years ago, new! Even though we made money, I still felt guilty.

I was going to say the loose screw!

Anyhow, it went for £21.28, so they saved 91 pence, maybe more if they aren't a member here and qualifying for the 5% Dragon discount....

I have a saying thats worth remembering

"There is life outside Ebay"

its very easy to get sucked into believing it is the cheapest place to buy stuff

But Edward think back 2 weeks to the auction and the three IOM coaches and indeed your live steamer

Ebay's a bit like a farm sale - I remember them in England - farmers paying more for clapped out tackle that the new price. Still happens!

Anyone fancy a Bachmann coach for £99? Roof repaired, brake wheel missingm no box! I think not! But then you never can be certain:rolf::rolf::rolf::rolf:

Noticed that last night. I see today it's now £9.99. Sellers make genuine mistakes sometimes. As long as no-one was actually prepaired to pay £99 for it then no harm done. Caveat Emptor.

I queried the high price of a set of "chinamen" from the far east (£108 ). The reply was that they were out of stock so didn't want anyone to buy them. Is their logic different to mine?

Yes - just seen it myself - you two have beaten me to it. Must be a man of few words (and actions):rolf:
