Wharfdale Development

Not concentrating when i selected the topic I have to admit that the very first picture in this thread completely fooled me - I thought it was a real life shot through the arch and was thinking I wonder what our US friends are thinking of such an old van stll being used in 2011 !
I am not a great fan of little figures on model railways but my congratulations on your modelling skills!!

A real pleasure to peruse this thread again (and see further progress)!

I enjoyed 5 minutes browsing this thread from the beginning - full of atmosphere - lovely attention to detail and nice to see something a bit different.

Been doing slight adjustments
moved the uptake pipe closer to the quay wall
& changed the pipe to black

tidied up the delivery pipe along the back, most of which is now buried in the soil

Frost had taken its toll on the hypertuffa facings that were immersed in water, so reinstatement with a stronger mix was undertaken using a stronger mix
originally I had used a 1 cement;1 sand; 2 peat mix but I have now reduced the peat in the mix
to 1 cement;2 sand; 1 peat

did the up stream bit as well, & also shortened the down pipe through the cliff so that it was flush, & cemented it in place

32 mm waste pipe in place with cosmetic flange, fitted with mesh to exclude animals & curious children

Although I am informed by other dwellers in the household that it looks too industrial, & they dont like the look of it ( the mesh)
