All looks great, who is the viaduct made by? Seen them quite often and there very impressive

Thanks Matthew (and everyone else), the viaduct is made by Cain Howley Structures (CHS). I don't think they've got their own website at the moment, but you can find them on the Back2Bay6 site. It looks as if Mr Howley is a member of this forum too.

Hello Mel, long time no see!
I've been away, and now am catching up. I see you've eaten half your birds ;-) and there's now some VERY nice railway growing!!
Cracking! Carry on providing us with pics and advice!

Lots of inspiration from the Stoneycombe & Penrose Valley went into that Don. Glad you like it.

In the previous photo you got a glance of the new building for the town section, one (or rather two) of Stocker's finest - a Pendlebury "Village Shop" and "Village Cottage" joined together to make a small terrace.

After much planning (it's held together with tape in the first photo) the descision was made as to which way round it would be built, then the main structure was glued together with epoxy resin. A fair bit of filler was required, but mostly around the join between the two buildings (which is not what they were originally designed for). I also added a floor and party wall to reduce the "see through" effect.

The whole thing was then given a coat of Halfords primer.

Looking good Mel.
I know I should'nt look, coz I'm no good with spray painting, me.
Is your mastership of spraying anything to do with a previous occupation

The terrace was then painted with matt enamels.

QI fans might get the Gorange gent's outfitters reference ("perhaps young sir would favour a cummabund for the cross-country?" ).

The shop window dummies are 1/32nd figures nicked from my Scalextric layout.

The Cornflakes add on the end wall came as a £1 key-ring from Llanfair station the last time we visited the W&LLR. We'll see how it stands up to being outdoors in all weathers.

Access to the rear of the cottage is via a brick outhouse ..... well, some bricks have been used for a recent repair anyway. I understand that this is a new moulding from Pendlebury, in which case I can't wait to see what else Alan has got up his sleeve, because the moulding detail on the roof especially is excellent.
Curtains were kindly donated from the wife's quilting box, (Yes, she does know).

Next time the weather is good enough for train running, I'll take some pics with the terrace in place.
