One of my favorite things to do is weather wood of all types using acrylics and hard pastels.

now that is better.It was done pretty much like I discussed above with acrylics and pastels.

Another view.To make the jagged edges I roughed up the surfaces with the edge of a hacksaw blade.

Interesting, but l’ve never come across the trade names you mention this side of the pond. Presumably they are available by post, at exorbitant rates?
