Hello all,
I'm after a front and rear wheelset for a stainz.
It's for a static / towable loco so the state of the tyres & gears are unimportant. Just as long as the axles are not badly worn. I'm told that axle diameter is standard from the old bolt on wheel type upto the latest models. If this is not the case, can someone let me know. I've ordered a new gearbox case. (the old middle section was totally shot.) but the axles on the wheelsets that I have have are worn down to the point of uselessness. (The wheels actually touch the footplate!)
If anyone has an old unwanted set knocking around, I'd be pleased to hear from you.
