WANTED: LGB 25841 Green Saxon Meyer.

Trainman58

When I grow up I want to be Compo- minus the feret
Country flag
After the last success, I am looking for a Saxon Meyer Nr 133 (LGB 25841). Any ideas on the whereabouts of one for sale? I would also pose a question, was it ever produced at all?

Thanks in advance.
Henrik

I got my Green Meyer new in July 2000 from GRS, the number on mine is 132 not 133. Its not for sale!

I have a 132 as well (it is the loco that I have converted for switchable track power or RC/DCC), I think that's the more common one .... I wasn't even aware that there had been a later issue renumbered as 133!

I'm assuming that it's specifically the 133 version you want, Henrik?

Jon.

They did 2 versions of it
1 with sound
1 with out sound.

Yes this is the one I have with sound. That is why I am interested in the #133 to go with it. I also have the Ik, IIk and Meyer #145. The intention is to build a preserved railway in Saxonia. I have also acquired several scratch built historical goods vehicles to go with them all. I have ordered the VIk announced for next year with the coaches although it is a little late in the period.

Morning Jon. Yes it is. I just like the lining and the dark green colouring of this model. The "apple green" Colorado came in later preservation. Would love one of these looks #133.
I have never even seen a photograph of the Loco which is why I posed the question as to its actual production in real life.
Cheers
Henrik

Hello I purchased LGB 25842 Meyer running No 133 new from Peter at Chalk Garden Rail. Peter fitted the Loco with a Massoth XLS and a Goldcap Buffer so far it has given good service so far although it has not put very many miles on the clock as it competes with 9 other Meyers for running duties sorry but mine is not for sale but if you made a big enough offer Imay be tempted yours

Sorry LGB 25841 not as first written

I had a light green one sans sound or even chips. Sounded it up with an LGB Sound Box and 2 chips. Sold via Glendale Junction around 3 years ago now to help fund a Trainline Mallet. Was bought at Redhil Show many moons ago, probably around 2001-3. And yes I removed the Chips and Sound when I flogged it.
