VW Rail Bus for Sprite Valley line

Assembled from a 1/24th scale officially licensed VW bus and a motor block from a Bachmann trolley...

So the motor block they sent you in error actually turned out to work for the bus?

Yes, it did. Mostly. The wheels are a little big, and the wheel base isn't quite right, but I made an adapter to go between the motor block and body and didn't have to alter the body or motor block, so if a better motor block comes along, I can swap them out.

Just wondering how it compares, in dimensions to one of these, for scale...



Airfix Quickbuild, which is roughly, (L) 198mm, (W) 82mm (H) 90mm.

I think they are about right, but would be interesting to know.

The bus I'm using is 1/24th scale, and is 168mm long.
