I had the privilege last weekend of visiting David & Bridget's Great Waikawa Railway with other NZ members of the G1MRA. Actually was really a kind of the usual running days we have in NZ where pretty much anything ran as long as it fitted the loading gauge and track gauge. Which was luck as one of the highlights was the a G3 coal fired steamie - nice.
So first up is a 5 minute slideshow of the weekend through my lens.
Then just for fun I propped the photo up in a wagon behind one of my steamies, Kaitaki, and did a circuit around the railway.
And finally if I haven't bored you yet, a short one this time, as I steamed my coal fired loco Namu with the wonderful view as a backdrop. It certainly is a view to savour.
