USA TRAINS GP 38 2 LOCOMOTIVE FOR SALE

I AM SELLING A NUMBER OF G SCALE LOCOMOTIVES THE FIRST OF WHICH IS A USA TRAINS GP 7. IT IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION HAVING HAD LITTLE USE,MAINLY SAT ON A SHELF.AS FAR AS I CAN TELL,ALL PARTS,HAND RAILS ETC ARE PRESENT,AND THERE IS NO DAMAGE,IE CHIPS,BREAKAGES.THE LAST TIME I RAN THE LOCO,EVERYTHING WORKED AS SHOULD,LIGHTS,DIESEL PORTS,MOTOR .

i need to point out one issue however.This morning i connected wires to the loco just to make sure the motors are running as should,and noticed that one of the number plate lights does not light up,(front left hand side,looking forward from cab).I am sure this could be resolved.

THE LOCO LOOKS A LITTLE DUSTY IN PICTURES,BUT I WOULD CLEAN IT UP BEFORE SELLING...it has been on a shelf,as i said for a while.Its possible i can include a spare orange step,if i can find.(that goes on front or rear of loco,under air hoses/pipes)

Unfortunately i do not have the original box.I honestly believe it was taken by roofers we had,installing a roof on the house,and who had access to my boxes in loft....as bizarre as that sounds.The loco could be collected.I am in Rugby,warwickshire....or i could put it into a Bachmann Big haulers box,sawing off some of the polystyrene to allow loco to fit.Its so frustrating to have lost the box.I never throw them away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM ASKING £440 TO INCLUDE POSTAGE....ideally someone to collect ..£420.

I Had noticed a set of air pipes missing from front of loco...I HAVE NOW FOUND THESE AND HAVE PUT THEM ON TO LOCO..No parts missing..just the front number plate not working on left hand side,as mentioned in original ad,and as shown in pictures..thanks,Ade

In the current market for an unboxed loco you will probably have to half your price or more if you want to sell.

I'd keep the price as is. I never worry about boxes, ever.

I certainly wouldn't pay £200 more for a box.

Really annoying about the box...I employed a rogue roofer and lost nearly £20,000 ..i had left the boxes up in the loft whilst the job was done...Had to have all the roof totally re done by a "Proper" roofer.Thankfully,i was left some money from my mum,so that paid it all..Basically i threw away my inheritance...I have had ill health too which has led to poor decisions...Ie the roof.Its because of my health i am having to ease back on the G Scale.My railway i had taken out and the garden completely re done so i can manage it.Want to sell this loco,as its just too big for me now.

Yes indeed....the price i think is very fair,considering the condition of the loco and the use it has had.They are being sold for over 600 on e bay,or some less but still more than my price,with damage.
