Yes, ships are 60 hz - that's why we had to have a Maudsley converter at Mare Harbour

And planes are 200 hz

Don't remember whether it was for a plane, or helicopter, but we had to build a supply which could cope with some weird voltage, at 440Hz,for use with BBC tech equipment..

The memory fades now, but I distinctly remember the frequency, as it is 'concert pitch' A..

Yes, that was supply at certain voltages.

For aircraft equipment, we have 400Hz supplies. (Not 200Hz)

I remember us having a fault on one of our Maintenance Training Rigs last year. The 400Hz power supply in the hanger was fine, but one of the Aircraft 'black boxes' had gone un-servicable and was swapped out to get the rig running again....

It WILL run slow, if you don't already have it, don't bother buying one, get the higher voltage LGB...

The 220 volt LGB transformers tend to be red and the 110 volt LGB transformers tend to be grey.
