- Train - RC Controlled "Harbour Station" Lok

It's the Newquida one, which were available here in the UK at £109, so they seem a little overpriced?

Unless they are now considered to be rare....

Gizzy,
They do admit that the assembly was dodgy at best due to the assembler's skill level and/or mood ;). The added time to correct these assembly errors and other enhancements just to make the model function, may justify the added cost.

Hmmm... Australians can buy this loco for $A 85, minus the modifications, but they don't ship outside Oz (would be prohibitive).

Cheers,
Peter.

No-one in the UK seems to sell Newqida locomotives. I've found a freight and coach supplier, but neither of their locos

kent Garden rail had some, 2jags (g scale online) had some, trucknutz on ebay had a few

One on ebay now!

$266.13, yea right. No way would I fork out that amount for a Newquida loco. And speaking of that amount, where did the seller come up with that figure ? Where did the thirteen cents come from ? ???

zennershop.de in Saarbruecken, Germany. On their web site they sell this loco for 215,11 €. Convert to US$, add intl. shipping, deduct 20% VAT, that's how they arrive at this odd amount. For only 12 € more you get a Piko BR 80 with the same radio. Nope, I wouldn't fork out that much for a genuine Chinese loco, either, even if they do fix them individually.

Cheers,
Peter.

Nice bit of Chinglish in the description

User manual in English.
A little exercise with the remote control is necessary because the zero point of the control lever for the rest of the locomotive is not easy to find without exercise, so the path is very small. This makes many railway workers at the beginning of problems. By placing the hand on the remote control, you can use this lever soulful.

I must admit that I always try to use my levers soulful.

I have ine in stock and will look at striping out the Electrics and starting with a decent say Aristo RC Battery setup. Anyone done this?

JonD - why not try it with one of these, as per the thread I started today in the "battery power" forum?
