Morning Trev

As a would be entrepreneur here in the UK I was wondering how much you would sell the UK manufacturing rights to this excellent product.... guess we would be talking £000s but it's worth asking.... I might be able to get assistance from Dragon's Den!

Regards
Rob

I don't think Fred would part with his hard earned .....:rolf::rolf:

The bugger won't post to Europe :rolf:

Maybe he wont post to Europe due to the uncertainty of the financial situation?

He did sell one though to NZ.....

And people buy water in bottles too...............

Actually, as somebody who buys nuts, bolts and steel rod in Aust in small quantities on a regular basis, $6 is about the cost of the components at the local Mitre 10 I would have thought!
(Particularly like the blurb Trev, you've been spending way too much time on ebay...)

Yes wayyyyyyy to much time on eBay. Recently I have made a barrage of complaints about Asians who are all selling these Laser Cutter/Engravers, all claim to have stock in "AU WAREHOUSE IN SYDNEY" but none will allow a local pick up all want nearly the cost of the machine for "postage". Now how come I can buy a milling machine in Adelaide and have it shipped to Canberra for $80 and these guys want (depending on the cost of the machine) between $280 - $310 to ship it 300km to Canberra and its half the weight, the ads on ebay are identical, the responses are identical the only thing that changes is the sellers name. So my technique to deal with this was to try and explain this to eBay Customer Support, it says that this practise is not allowed by eBay but all I have got so far is several requests to fill out customer satisfaction surveys..... Lucky I have time on my hands......

Yes, saw those too; and the use of English definitely suggested the origin was in Oz (not). Know somebody who ordered a Chinese one, although not off ebay but a welbsite. He can't get it to work and can't get anybody at the selling site to acknowledge his problem. (He's into model boats not trains). Not that I have the volume to even consider one, but you'd have to do an awful lot of research before committing; and even then I think I'd want a face to face with a rep.

Steve

I'm thinking the same way.... There are some that are dodgy and some that are brilliant. A mate has one and what it can do is mindboggling. Unfortunatley his runs 8 hrs a day making model aircraft frames and such and he has a thriving business. The catch is that they have a dongle which allows only one computer to use the driver software and dongle free software is available at a cost au$900 8|... Definatley need some sort of after sales service for this amount of money.... But the one I have seen running seems to run forever the only thing that needs replacing is the laser tube....
I'm going to China next year I may try and get one then, they are all made in China but prenty stock in au warehose:D:D:D:D:D:D
