Just in case anyone's looking for one there's an analogue model ending on eBay.de later today. I've been tempted, but having three already I think it will be too difficult to 'hide' another one - stealth purchase size they ain't. Mind you if the price doesn't go up much I might still have a punt at sniping time. It has a bit of damage - one of the secondary conrod valve gear linkage thingies. On the plus side shipping costs from Germany are reasonable.

I've seen a fair few of those return cranks broken without any sign of abuse. Spares are/were available from LGB Marklin as part of a valve gear set for similar locos Modelland may have some at a more reasonable price. I suggest enlarging the square hole with a needle file if there's any sign of tightness when fitting. Unlike the prototypes this part can be a slack fit on the model.

Oh dear! Have I triggered a bidding frenzy? Since my original post the price has jumped by 205 euros. It's now approaching the area where my interest ceases.
