Some great piccies again Mel and as you say it's lovely to see the plants coming to life again - glad you are getting the hang of the new airbrush by the way

Cheers Bram. The thing that I'm finding is that the air brush uses a suprising amount of paint, but that the aerosol propellant lasts much longer than I expected.

Aaah, some you win, some you lose. Can you control the flow of paint or do airbrushes just use a lot anyhow

You can control flow, but you realise just how little paint is in one of those little bottles or tins when you decant it.

I can see your problem Mel, your using wine instead of paint - just be careful what you drink

GSS West Mids group meeting today including member's sales. I bought this lovely little tram loco. Very Wisbech and Upwell I thought. All the mechanical gubbins appear to be Hartland, but I'm not sure how much has been built or re-painted by someone .

It's got no pick-up skates, but runs really well on clean track.

Squeezing through the buildings in Gooey town.

Running along the verge with the ex Bolton Corporation tram coach in tow.

Bram Apr 18 2009, 07:01 PM

Looked good at the meet Mel, looks even better on your railway

George Apr 18 2009, 07:08 PM

Brillient - love the new tram , i want a w&u type tram - looked into IP engineering's kit but i have heard mixed veiws on it?

Shouldnt be too long before we can ride in a real W&U tramway carriage - shouldnt be that long before its restoration at NNR is finished....

George Apr 18 2009, 07:13 PM

But i do like the idea of useing a hartland chassis to build a tram on, might set it as a project for the railway at somepoint

Like number 9 a lot.

Change the "C" to a "W".............instant Welshpool and Llanfair Mel.............it was meant to be

The CLR is a bit of a nasty, shiney sticker Paul. It's coming off .

The only thing that's really missing to make it look really W&U is a pair of cow catchers. Not sure how I could fit a pair with the couplings the way they are though .

Can you not make something that just clips over the buffer and LGB coupler that looks like a cow catcher Mel?

Something that's quickly removed for when you hitch up to a wagon or coach?

(And I would have thought in Wales, it should be more of a sheep shover.... )

mbiff Apr 18 2009, 07:27 PM

You'd best ask SJ about that one Mel; apparently, he has the special apron....
