Not just whizzy cranks ............... whizzy chain, flywheel, pistons .............

Ran really well, very impressive.

Thanks for bringing her Steve . Now all I have to do is clean all that oil off the tracks .

And that was just him arriving up your street...

Looks great Mel. I reckon a Willi would suit the WGLR (waits for unsuitable comments... I wish Regner would change the name of it). They are quite de Winton.

I dont agree Grahame Mel would be better sorted with a Regner fanny

No probs Roy. Not 100% sure when Steve will be over your way. I didn't have any straights left, so I've sent you a couple of curves instead. You can use them as they are or straighten them out.

Thanks for the Welshpool shot Knotty, not seen that one before especially with the left hand shop having it's awning down .

Ooohh good shout for the book, I'll be getting that. Not a Countess/Earl though - going for something a little more ... errrrrr .... rhb which I know for a fact will work reliably on my railway .

Got back from the Welsh Madder's adventure to find a rather big red box waiting to be opened.

I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while. As mentioned previously, I've also considered the new Accucraft Countess. Perhaps the Countess would have been more authentic, but I knew for certain that the Heidi would run reliably on my railway, plus it has sound, lights, smoke etc. all for less money ....... that's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks to Riverderwent for a great deal .

Just time for a quick test on Sunday evening and I knew that I'd made the right descision .............. especially after I'd found the volume control .

Very Nice mel like it lots , but no more for me , SWMBO has said so , oh except the double critter i have just bought

yb281 May 11 2009, 03:17 PM

I've got a bit of a problem with the WGLR at the moment as the mostly dry, windy weather is blowing loads of debris out of the trees including twigs, leaves and lilac flower petals. Added to that is all the pollen from the apple tree. So running can be a bit challenging at the mo .......

But Heidi takes it all in her stride and ploughs on reliably through the lot .

She is a little on the large side, but the Accucraft W&L stock looks in proportion being a slightly larger scale than LGB.

Exiting the narrows with a good head of steam.
