You're more than welcome Keith .

Gordon, the tyres are old racing car tyres which we use as planters. They also help to keep a soil bank in place. The plants almost cover them up when they're in bloom.

It really is "well worth a detour" as a certain guide says; you really get a warm welcome and the railway is something special
(I can't wait to go back)

Brillient pics as usual Mel. BTW The U class suits the WGLR - need to get one the IoM carriages also look good on the WGLR and the next batch of them should arrive with Mr Trackshack in April (I know that as im getting 3 for Cambrai and the Edrig (when i get it)

I have to say I'm still not totaly sold on the U class George, don't know why. And I really don't need any more coaches. All my future plans are for goods stock.

How about a nice V52 Mel?

Got one going beggin'

We arrived home yesterday after our weeks holiday in Portmerion. We had a great holiday, but it's nice to be home again ............. and running trains of course . The thing about this time of year is that the mixture of rainy and sunny days causes the garden plants to put on one heck of a squirt. I love it . Although it can cause problems for the garden railway ................

........... for the Corpet on passenger duties .............

.......... and the diesel shunter hauling ballast hoppers for Gooey Depot. and a couple of wagons for the MOD base .................

....... the track crew has their work cut out. The Bluebells are a particular problem, calling for some drastic measures next to Castle Halt............

Most of our back garden is pretty shady, but this doesn't stop us from having a bit of colour in the flower beds, it's just a question of choosing the right plants.
