Like them- first G scale loco I ever had a chance to play with. Should look good with a few "British" mods and paint scheme- considered fitting some stereotypical British details, lamps etc, the make it look even more like an American loco working in Britain (as opposed to merely an American loco )

A bit like this eh Matt?

Battleship Grey Mel- and very much like that, metal bufferbeams and a centre coupling and whatnot.

Maybe not the plant pot though.

This 'un is more of a greeney- grey...

Less good, but it shows the bits that are obscured by steam and the numbers on the tank...

Good to see that she's already earning her keep, Mel.

OK, those excellent pictures have made up my mind. Battleship grey it is.

Ran the Porter with my Hartland wagon conversions today ........................

................ they seem much better suited together. So I think these are what I'll use as the basis for WD/MOD trains .......................

........ plus, the whole train fits into the MOD sidings .

Built the Maintenance Unit warehouse today. Nothing much more than a piece of Corex board cut to shape and stapled to the framework behind with an awning and doors glued on. It actually looks more effective in real life than it does in the photos.

It's functional rather than pretty. I don't think the Grand Designs team are likely to be visiting any time soon .

I like the look of it with a train shunted in though . Need to get some matt dark green paint tomorrow to give it a bit of camouflage.

Stainz on duty this afternoon to please Paul .

Long shot for Ian as it (just) includes the Rosella that lives in the aviary - his backside is right at the top of the picture .
