Thomas ( or Percy! ) needs a brake van for his trucks

The roof is a sheet of Slaters plasticard..it has a random dimpled affect, just what's needed. The drip rails are half round plasticard strips.
Epoxy resin on the wooden bits, liquid poly everywhere else, and it's almost a single shot, as the liquid poly dries quite quickly. I used rubber bands to apply pressure, with more coffee stirrers to spread the force.
Once this was set, I added the drip rails, fixing at both ends first, then working along to the centre.
Both the roof and drip rails were cut oversize, then trimmed to fit once set.

Now to the paint shop again....although if I had thought, it would be easier to do all the construction first, then paint grey, then mask the body, and spray the roof.
Oh well...next time!

Was there ever a named brakevan on "Thomas" ?? and was he called TOAD :rolf::rolf:

a very nice conversion, impressive!

Err yes - Duck's favourite brakevan is named Toad in the early books...
Toad was Olivers Break van originally, but Toad then ran off with the Caledonian 0-6-0 that rescued them.
